About the Role

This role is based in a global organization with a presence in Australia, with a focus on leading key activities in power platform governance, user community support, solutions development, and user skills development. As a subject matter expert, you will support business teams and Power BI champions in their use of the Power Platform.

You will oversee a Power Platform Specialist who will support you in delivering governance, design, and deployment of standards. This includes maintaining and evolving Power Platform governance, including application life cycle management, development standards, guidelines, and guardrails, as well as deployment standards and corporate branding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and evolve Power Platform governance, including application life cycle management, development standards, guidelines, and guardrails, as well as deployment standards and corporate branding.
  • In conjunction with the Global Architecture team, identify opportunities to extend the Power Platform toolset and components to meet business requirements.
  • Provide design assurance for visualizations built by product development teams.
  • Keep up to date with Microsoft releases and identify opportunities to leverage within the business.

About You

  • You have a Microsoft Certified background and/or an undergraduate degree in a related field.
  • You have extensive experience in the Microsoft Power Platform, including PowerBI, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
  • You have experience developing new PowerApps model and canvas-driven apps, as well as enhancing existing apps, including the use of Dataverse as a data source.
  • You have experience automating business processes with Microsoft Power Automate.
  • You have the ability to create custom connectors for Microsoft Power Platform.
  • You have experience with API or Rest services integrations.
  • You have a solid understanding of implementing solutions with multiple data sources.
  • You have experience providing Power BI reports and dashboards development and support.
  • You have a solid understanding of creating SQL Server database tables and stored procedures.
  • You have experience working on agile projects.
  • You have great communication skills and the ability to tailor your message and language to your audience.
  • You have strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex business requirements into solid advice for the customer.
  • You have the ability to work in dynamic, multi-functional teams within the organization and its ecosystem.
  • You have demonstrable working experience in a business analyst/software engineering/technical engineer position.
