Capital Infrastructure Financial Specialist

A challenging position has become available for a skilled Project Accountant to join our organization in Brisbane, supporting the financial management of significant capital projects. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by contributing to improved business practices and strengthening internal controls that underpin the effective delivery of infrastructure investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and client service.
- Validate capital project accruals by ensuring alignment with invoicing for accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with asset accountants and quantity surveyors to guide asset capitalization in line with policies.
- Contribute to improving financial management practices during the six-month engagement.
- Support ICT system enhancements and internal controls to optimize infrastructure investments.
- Prepare detailed financial reports on cashflows, accruals, and asset accounting for senior management review.
- Participate in team meetings to address project finance and asset management issues.
- Perform additional duties as needed, showcasing adaptability to evolving project requirements.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in finance, accountancy, commerce, or economics providing a strong foundation for understanding complex financial concepts.
