HR Case Management Specialist

We are seeking skilled HR professionals to join our Conduct, Performance and Reviews team.

  • Preliminary and formal investigations of suspected breaches of the APS Code of Conduct will be conducted by this role.
  • Employee complaints management is a key responsibility of this position.

This HR Case Management Specialist will manage/investigate complex, sensitive cases with guidance from an EL 1 Team leader or independently as an EL 1 Manager. This person will interpret and apply relevant legislation, policy, and the ATO Enterprise Agreement.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage/investigate complex, sensitive cases with guidance from an EL 1 Team leader.

  • EL 1 Manager Responsibilities:
    • Manage/investigate complex, sensitive cases independently.
    • Develop case handling strategies for high-risk matters that cut across case types.
    • Prepare and present clear, concise, and credible briefings, reports, and written recommendations.
    • Provide clear, credible advice to managers and senior executives, guiding them to navigate risks and make sound, defensible decisions aligned with APS standards.
    • Lead the development and/or review of HR policies and processes so that they are contemporary and best practice.
    • Built trusted relationships with stakeholders, including senior leaders, union representatives, and managers.

This role may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Hobart, or Sydney CBD.
