Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced executive to lead our commercial strategy and drive long-term value in the energy sector.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a commercial strategy to expand retail operations across Queensland and the National Electricity Market.
  • Implement an effective electricity trading strategy that maximises the value of our portfolio of generation assets.
  • Use data analytics to inform decision-making and enhance financial and operational performance.
  • Lead major commercial negotiations, investments, and partnership opportunities.
  • Oversee governance and performance of key joint ventures ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.
  • Maintain compliance across trading, risk, and regulatory frameworks.
About You:

You are a senior commercial leader with a strong track record in strategic leadership in energy, utilities, or complex industries. You bring knowledge of energy markets, trading mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks, alongside a sophisticated understanding of how to identify and pursue commercial opportunities.

Your strengths lie in your ability to drive commercial growth, negotiate effectively, and deliver sustained performance across multiple streams. You will likely have expertise in contract law and/or financial analysis.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as law, commerce, economics, or engineering are essential.
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA and governance credentials (e.g. GAICD) are highly desirable.
