About the Role

Our organization is seeking a skilled professional to assist vulnerable customers during periods of financial hardship. As a key member of our customer service team, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and addressing hardship requests received for consumer credit cards, personal loans, and consumer deposits.

Your primary responsibility will be to receive inbound calls from internal and external customers and initiate outbound calls to customers or their representatives. To excel in this position, you will require:

  • Previous experience in collections and customer service
  • Awareness of relevant credit legislation (UCCC, Trade Practices Act, Privacy Act)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to provide high-quality customer service
  • Demonstrated negotiation and objection management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to respond positively to pressure, strong attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
