About This Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to contribute to our Capital Works Planning and Delivery branch.

The primary responsibility of the Engineering Technical Officer is to provide technical expertise on engineering matters, including traffic, parking, drainage, and waste generation, related to property developments in the municipality.

Key aspects of the role include ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and Council policies, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting the Transport Infrastructure team with project management of capital works delivery.

This position requires a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or relevant experience, as well as local government experience in the engineering field and knowledge of traffic engineering and stormwater drainage principles.

A sound understanding of transport planning and engineering, experience in developing and delivering capital works projects, and a current Driver's Licence suitable for driving in Victoria are also essential.
