Senior Lighting Technical Director

A seasoned professional with a deep understanding of 3D computer graphics and film lighting, we seek a Senior Lighting Technical Director to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced technical director who can lead our lighting team in creating high-quality visual effects for feature films and broadcast projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of 3D computer graphics and film lighting principles
  • Work closely with senior artists and supervisors to achieve the highest quality on VFX projects
  • Possess a good working knowledge of art, design, and film lighting, as well as a solid technical grounding in ray tracing or path tracing renderers
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the VFX industry as a Lighting Artist on high-end live-action feature films
  • Production experience with Maya and/or Houdini and/or Solaris
  • Showreel demonstrating experience in shot lighting and rendering on high-quality productions
  • Experience troubleshooting pipeline issues

  • You should be passionate about film and have a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • You should be technically adept and able to work effectively in a team environment
  • You should be adaptable and able to take direction from senior artists and supervisors
