Job Title: Behaviour Support Practitioner - Paediatrics

About This Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will provide positive behaviour support services to children and their families.

You will be responsible for assisting NDIS participants, their families, and carers to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning. You will also evaluate, develop, and deliver evidence-based support plans within complex support contexts.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting NDIS participants and their families/carers to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning;
  • Evaluating, developing, and delivering evidence-based support plans within complex support contexts;
  • Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework;
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current suitability at the Proficient or Advanced level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner;
  • Extensive experience supporting people with behaviours of concern (professionally and/or personally);
  • Excellent report writing skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills;
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
