We are looking for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support specialist who is passionate about researching and developing others to improve their report writing, formulation, and strategy development skills.We believe in providing services that are evidence-based, practical, and appropriate for the participant and their environments.
Our goal is to help clients address behavioral challenges, achieve their goals, and reach their potential.
When restrictive practices are used, we aim to reduce or eliminate them through skill development, emotion regulation, and replacement behaviors.
Our plans enhance the capacity and confidence of support systems in providing effective support.In this role, you will be:Reviewing Positive Behaviour Support PlansProviding training, support, and guidance to staffParticipating in research to build the evidence base for our plans, with the possibility of publication in peer-reviewed journalsThere is also potential involvement in supervising provisional psychologists (if registered in psychology) or providing PBS or other allied health services if interested.These are flexible full-time or part-time roles for the right candidates, with multiple positions available as we grow our team.Work-Life BalanceThe ORS executive team values a healthy work-life balance, understanding the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

You can engage with them through training sessions, email, or phone consultations for complex cases.
This is in addition to support from managers and team leaders.A few requirements include:PhD/Doctorate (desirable)Background in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, or Behavioral Interventions for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, or other complex diagnosesExperience with the NDISExperience providing Positive Behaviour Support or similar services within the disability, education, or justice sectorsAbility to write and edit high-quality reportsA valid driver's license and carRelevant clearances (Police, Working with Children/Vulnerable People, NDIS Worker Screening) or willingness to obtain themAbout us:ORS is a leading national provider of allied health and workplace rehabilitation services in Australia, with a nearly 30-year history of delivering high-quality, evidence-based, client-centered services.
