Deutz is seeking a Business Development Manager to enter and build up Battery Storage Product Sales within the region.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the business strategy to drive sales of battery storage systems in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop new channels to market for Deutz battery system products.
  2. Establish market share within the battery storage industry.
  3. Establish business relationships with new OEMs.
  4. Be the Technical Product Champion and offer technical support to external and internal customers.
  5. Increase presence in active markets by attending and working at key industry events and exhibitions.
  6. Develop advertising, marketing strategies & campaigns with assistance from the Marketing team.
  7. Collate competitor data to ensure Deutz remains competitive within our target markets.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • SAA Design accreditation for off-grid battery systems.
  • Technical knowledge of off-grid battery systems, including electrical systems.
  • Strategic thinker with short, medium & long-term planning mindset.
  • Technical sales experience in off-grid battery systems for mining, agriculture, and construction sectors.
  • Business acumen/commercial experience.
  • Quotation & tender preparation & costing experience.
  • Advanced level in MS Office & systems.
  • Motivator to all stakeholders.
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Advanced communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Problem-solving & prompt issue resolution mindset.
  • Flexible and open to change.
  • Maintain customer service focus at all times.
  • Maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivation and a genuine desire to succeed.
