Job Overview

The Commercial Procurement Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective contract management and procurement processes are executed seamlessly. This encompasses managing compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines governing procurement and contract governance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic procurement approaches, driving proactive management of procurement strategies and contract governance processes;
  • Ensure adherence to procurement and contract governance policies, procedures, and processes;
  • Review and optimize tender management processes for enhanced effectiveness and efficiency;
  • Provide expert advice and support on procurement consultancy and contract management, delivering advisory services to stakeholders across the organization; and
  • Analyse market research to determine industry conditions, trends, opportunities, and competition with recommendations for process improvement.
About You
  • You will possess extensive experience in providing specialist procurement advice within complex organizational environments, enhancing compliance and developing best practice procurement methodologies;
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract management and governance, including conducting contract reviews, managing renewals, and monitoring performance to ensure compliance and value delivery;
  • Ability to influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders, implementing procurement practices ensuring compliance across diverse stakeholder groups;
  • Experience in managing Conflict of Interest and Probity processes;
  • Proactive procurement and contract management skills, with a strong track record in leading comprehensive procurement planning and developing strategic approaches to market; and
  • Experience in developing Key Performance Indicators within contracts, with a strong understanding of the importance of regular performance reviews.
