
Maintenance Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Scheduler to join our Planning and Scheduling team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling field operations maintenance works and related project activities, in accordance with works management processes while meeting the needs of various stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement detailed work schedules for maintenance and project works while maximising technician field time, equipment uptime and ensuring the completion of maintenance tasks in a responsive and timely manner.
- Optimise Field Operations efficiencies by ensuring the reduction of repetitive site visits, taking into consideration the asset type, location, accessibility, grouping and work scheduling.
- Assigning appropriately skilled maintenance personnel to work on required tasks.
- Hold regular meetings to review new works, prepare schedules and review outstanding actions prior to releasing new scheduled work.
- Working closely with Maintenance Planners to ensure the delivery of optimised maintenance schedules, improved maintenance forecasting and allocation of work.
- Co-ordinate and liaise with a range of internal stakeholders including Field Service Technicians, Project Delivery Engineers, Facility Engineers, Control Room and Infrastructure Protection personnel.
- Coach End Users in effective works management processes and practices.
- Implement and adopt works management initiatives and improvements.
- A trade qualification or tertiary qualification in an engineering field is preferred.
- Formal scheduling and/or planning trade or postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- Previous experience in maintenance planning, particularly in pipelines, mining, oil & gas or similar energy-related industries is required.
- Familiarity with transmission pipeline operations and maintenance is an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Advanced computer skills and literacy, including MS Excel data manipulation and analysis are necessary.
- Experience with CMMS systems, preferably Maximo, is advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills are required.
- Customer-focused approach with a positive and constructive outlook.
- Time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and decision-making under pressure are essential.
