Position Overview

A prominent global entity is in search of a seasoned corporate and M&A attorney to enhance their accomplished legal department. This role will report directly to the General Counsel and will encompass delivering transactional guidance to the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering transactional assistance for significant corporate endeavors undertaken by the organization.
  • Managing large-scale mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring transactions.
  • Engaging in a variety of private equity, venture capital, corporate restructuring, and capital raising activities.
  • Providing legal counsel to the organization and senior management on diverse legal and regulatory matters while proactively mitigating legal risks.
  • Facilitating legal services for the organization, including contract evaluations, document drafting, and transaction oversight.
  • Supporting the General Counsel with various project-based tasks and initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
  • Ideally possessing 6 to 10 years of post-qualification experience from a leading law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate M&A transactions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the applicable Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules.
  • Proven experience in project and transaction management.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen, communication, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to excel in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
