We are seeking an accomplished and passionate Executive Chef/Culinary Team Manager to lead our Indian restaurant and cafe on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.

About the Role:

This is a key leadership position responsible for guiding our culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences and signature offerings. As a hands-on leader, you will oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, production schedules, food costing analysis, budgeting, and staffing levels.

You will report directly to the Head Chef or as directed and be responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing the culinary team. Your expertise in menu development, recipe creation, and kitchen operations will drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the culinary team to deliver high-quality dishes that exceed customer expectations
  2. Develop and implement menus, daily specials, and promotions that drive sales and revenue growth
  3. Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen
  4. Control stock levels, inventory management, and waste reduction initiatives to minimize costs
  5. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, regulations, and industry standards
  6. Participate in interview processes and selection of new team members
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  1. Diploma in Culinary Arts, minimum 2 years of relevant experience, and a strong track record of success in kitchen management
  2. Proven knowledge of culinary techniques, practices, and trends
  3. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to train, develop, and motivate staff to achieve their full potential
  5. A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth
What We Offer:

Location:

The successful candidate will be based at our Indian restaurant and cafe on the Sunshine Coast, QLD, and will be required to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
