Job Summary

This position oversees the day-to-day operations of transport services, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods.

The Transport Manager plays a key role in managing fleet and staff, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing and maintaining vehicles, equipment, and fuel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Liaising with clients to determine their requirements and provide advice on vehicle types and hire rates.
  • Receiving orders and planning transportation schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Ensuring goods are stored and transported under conditions that maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Celebrating seamless logistics chain operations through coordinating collection and delivery activities.
  • Maintaining accurate business records and preparing operational statements for management review.
  • Coordinating arrival, departure, loading, and unloading activities at the depot, minimizing delays.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and implementing necessary safety procedures.
  • Bonding with key clients as their primary point of contact to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with fleet allocators and planners to optimize routing and reduce operational costs.
  • Managing driver rosters and ensuring all drivers complete pre-start safety checks and are fit for duty.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Transport Management Position

- Strong attention to detail

- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident Preferred

- Qualification-AQF Bachelor or Higher required
