About the Role

The Logistics Specialist role is responsible for end-to-end logistics, overseeing the movement of products from suppliers to third-party logistics (3PL) partners, warehousing operations, and the direct-to-consumer experience. By optimising logistics and ensuring smooth execution, this position plays a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency and delivering an exceptional customer journey.

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for driving efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness across CSB's global logistics network. This role owns the end-to-end logistics function, including inbound freight, warehousing, outbound freight, and reverse logistics, while acting as a subject matter expert to shape strategy, optimise systems, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. By identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and leading execution with external partners, this position ensures CSB's logistics infrastructure supports profitable growth and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inbound Freight: Design and implement inbound freight strategies to minimise costs, reduce lead times, and ensure product availability.
  • Inbound Freight: Partner with freight forwarders to optimise customs clearance, duties management, and delivery accuracy.
  • Inbound Freight: Work with factories to ensure accurate, timely shipment reports and proactively address variances with Product and warehouse teams.
  • Warehousing: Own inventory management processes across all fulfilment centres and Shopify stores, ensuring accuracy, stock health, and readiness for promotional initiatives and launches.
  • Warehousing: Monitor and optimise the performance of domestic and international fulfilment centres against SLA/KPI metrics.
  • Warehousing: Develop process improvements to strengthen warehouse operations, reserve stock handling, and fulfilment accuracy.
  • Outbound Freight: Define and execute CSB's outbound freight strategy to balance cost, speed, and customer satisfaction.
  • Outbound Freight: Collaborate with CX and Operations to enhance the DTC delivery experience.
  • Outbound Freight: Regularly evaluate and adjust shipping rate structures across Shopify stores.
  • Reverse Logistics: Own the design and management of domestic and international returns processes.
  • Reverse Logistics: Drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness in returns management while maintaining a seamless customer journey.
  • Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Act as the primary SME for logistics-related matters, supporting CX, Returns, Product, and Operations teams.
  • Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Proactively review and negotiate rates with logistics partners to ensure competitiveness and cost optimisation.
  • Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and logistics vendors, driving performance accountability and innovation.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Build and maintain advanced reporting on logistics KPIs, including cost, speed, accuracy, and partner performance.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on logistics performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives across logistics functions to increase scalability and reduce costs.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Document and maintain critical logistics processes for business continuity and knowledge sharing.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of eCommerce logistics best practices.
  • Preferred system expertise: Shopify, Netsuite, Xero, Logixboard, Google Suite.
  • Demonstrated expertise in eCommerce logistics operations and 3PL/fulfilment management (minimum 3+ years experience)
  • Proven ability to optimise freight, warehousing, and returns processes.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in rate negotiation and cost optimisation.
  • Ability to analyse complex logistics data, identify trends, and drive actionable insights.
  • Skilled at influencing and managing senior external partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a track record of implementing process efficiencies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
