We are seeking a skilled Clinical Communication Specialist to join our team at HealthcareLink in Sydney, NSW.

Job Summary

This is a permanent role that offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of patients, including paediatric and adult clients. As a Clinical Communication Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing communication disorders, designing and implementing low-tech and high-tech communication devices, developing treatment plans, and managing swallowing difficulties.

You will also play a key role in coordinating with other allied health professionals and GP's, providing education to clients, families, and the community, and participating in health promotions and quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose communication disorders in paediatric and adult clients
  • Design and implement low-tech and high-tech communication devices
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for clients with communication disorders
  • Manage swallowing difficulties and provide related therapy
  • Coordinate with other allied health professionals and GP's to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education to clients, families, and the community on communication disorders and strategies for management
Requirements
  • Degree in Speech Pathology and registration with SPA
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills and clear report writing skills
  • Current Working With Children Check and National Police Check
  • Current driver's license and own vehicle (essential)
