Role Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Spiritual Care Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering holistic spiritual support to residents and their families across our sites.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual who shares our passion for providing exceptional care and support to older South Australians. You will work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders to promote autonomy, dignity, and emotional wellbeing for each resident.

You will provide inclusive spiritual care that honours the diverse beliefs, cultures, and traditions of our community. This may involve leading public and informal rituals and services, as well as developing and implementing individualised spiritual care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver compassionate, person-centred spiritual support to residents and their families across our sites.
  • To work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to promote autonomy, dignity, and emotional wellbeing for each resident.
  • To provide inclusive spiritual care that honours the diverse beliefs, cultures, and traditions of our community.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A Bachelor degree in Theology, Counselling, Social Sciences or equivalent at a tertiary level.
  • Clinical Pastoral Education or the equivalent reflective practice training (according to current industry standards).
  • Awareness and understanding of diverse cultures, beliefs, practices and traditions.
  • Capability in leading public and informal rituals and services.
  • Driver's License and a willingness to travel to various sites.
