About This Role

The Wadhurst Chaplain position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the spiritual direction and life of Wadhurst Campus, providing overall pastoral and spiritual care to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and plan Chapel events, including the Wadhurst Chapel programme and annual Sunday House Chapel services.
  • Promote spiritual growth through weekly Bible readings, messages, prayers, and support for students, staff, and families.
  • Develop and deliver chapel services, workshops, and retreats that foster a sense of community among students.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students in their spiritual journeys.
  • Collaborate with school leaders to promote a supportive and inclusive environment.
Requirements:
  • Be an ordained Anglican Priest or have equivalent experience.
  • Have experience working in schools and teaching Religious Education and Philosophy.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills, including advanced spiritual and pastoral care leadership.
  • Hold a university degree with a major in Theology and Religious Studies, and appropriate teacher training.
  • Have VIT registration or be able to gain it.
