Role Overview

This dynamic position will drive an organisation's financial future by leading planning, forecasting, and budgeting initiatives that fuel strategic growth.


Key Responsibilities:
  • P&L Analysis and Insights: Deliver insightful month-end P&L analysis, turning complex data into strategic financial narratives.
  • Revenue Optimisation: Drive revenue optimisation by analysing performance, identifying trends, and informing decision-making.
  • Budget Tracking and Accountability: Partner with senior stakeholders to enhance budget tracking processes and promote financial accountability.
  • Cost Base Management: Own and manage business unit cost bases, guiding stakeholders through budgeting and forecasting.
  • Business Case Analysis: Support commercial decisions with objective business case analysis and challenge assumptions constructively.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare high-impact financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and board audiences.
  • Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing FP&A processes and maintaining best-practice financial models.

Requirements:
  • Professional Qualifications: Professional certification in accounting, preferably trained with a Big 4 firm.
  • Industry Experience: Background in technology or high-growth environments with comfort working in small, dynamic teams.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills with expertise in complex formulas and data analysis; familiarity with cloud-based planning systems preferred.
  • Financial Expertise: Deep understanding of P&L drivers and best-practice financial modeling.
  • Business Analysis: Ability to prepare and evaluate business cases with structured cost-benefit analysis.
  • Communication: Skill in translating complex financial concepts for non-financial audiences.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Confidence engaging with colleagues across all organisational levels.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with ability to monitor diverse costs and prioritise effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • Problem-Solving: Clear approach to challenges with comfort navigating ambiguity.
