Lead Structural Engineer

This role presents a rare opportunity to take on a hybrid position that combines technical leadership, compliance oversight, and a culture of continuous improvement. As a respected consultancy seeks a Lead Structural Engineer, you will have the chance to mentor a team of building inspectors and drive technical strategy.

  • Mentor and develop a team of 15+ inspectors with strong leadership skills.
  • Conduct or support complex inspections as needed, applying your knowledge of engineering principles to real-world scenarios.
  • Develop internal training and onboarding programs for inspectors.
  • Own and improve QA systems, SOPs, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide guidance on technical queries, disputes, and high-stakes reports.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on continuous improvement and service quality.
About You

The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Structural Engineering (CPEng) and working knowledge of the NCC, WA Guide to Standards & Tolerances, and AS 4349.

  • Degree-qualified Structural Engineer (CPEng).
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex issues and make clear technical decisions.
