Executive Claims Professional

We are seeking a skilled Claims Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing member claims and investigations, providing guidance and advice on indemnification of claims, and formulating a claims management strategy to achieve the best possible outcome.
You will partner with solicitors to support members' claims as required and contribute to Avant's provision of claims services through special projects, writing articles, and presentations.
Additionally, you will participate in the resourcing of the medico-legal advice hotline.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Tertiary qualifications in law or health;
- Solicitors with a valid practising certificate will be highly regarded;
- Previous demonstrated experience in insurance claims management;
- A strong understanding of current health and insurance legislation;
- A strong focus on time management and work management;
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills;
- Proven ability to work in an electronic document management system; and
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
