High Value and Complex Claims Executive

About the Role:

This executive position involves managing a portfolio of complex and high-value liability claims, providing strategic advice and driving timely, commercial outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end claim management across class actions, cluster claims, and high-value exposures
  • Strategic advice on policy interpretation, litigation, and claim resolution
  • Collaboration with internal legal teams, panel firms, and counsel to manage legal complexities
  • Maintaining expertise through continuous learning and knowledge sharing
  • Promoting alignment of claims strategies across internal stakeholders
  • Contributing to process improvements and cost reduction initiatives

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance (mandatory)
  • Industry qualifications such as Diploma in Financial Services (mandatory)
  • 5-10 years' experience in managing complex liability or professional indemnity claims
  • Litigation experience, including briefing panel firms or direct involvement (mandatory)
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Experience mentoring and developing team members
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and claims systems
