Specialized Driver Trainer Role

We provide sophisticated supply chain solutions to customers in various industries, including mining, chemicals, gases, steel, plastics, petroleum, energy, Australian oil and gas, and agriculture. Our customers operate in remote areas, requiring a logistics partner who can meet their needs.

The Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement driver training programs, focusing on induction, legislative requirements, and Toll Group procedures.
  • Conduct assessments and coaching to improve driver competencies, ensuring compliance with business standards and quality management systems.
  • Design and deliver high-quality training materials, aligned with learning methodologies, in collaboration with Toll Group Operations Training.
  • Plan and coordinate training activities, communicating requirements to operations teams for forward planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of driver training, assessments, and documentation control.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Workplace Training and Assessment.
  • Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence (Prefer MC), DG licence, current SSAN (Security Sensitive Ammonium Nitrate), MSIC (Maritime Security Identity Card).
  • Knowledge of HV mass management, fatigue management, dangerous goods, load restraint, road transport rules and regulations.
  • Experience as a skilled and competent driver/MHE operator and being an experienced and competent Trainer and Assessor.
  • A can-do approach towards driver safety, coaching, and risk reduction.
  • Intermediate Microsoft office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
