We are seeking a highly skilled Event Logistics Support Specialist to join our team at The Star Brisbane, located in the heart of Queensland's vibrant entertainment hub.

As an Event Logistics Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of events across our property. This includes setting up and packing down tables, bars, drink stations, buffets, stages, floor coverings, walls, and curtains to guarantee every aspect of our events runs smoothly and is set up for success.

This is an exciting opportunity to put your skills and knowledge to the test and deliver exceptional experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setup and pack-down equipment for world-class events, including dinners, tradeshows, theatres, and parties.
  • Arrange tables, chairs, buffets, and other setups related to the event.
  • Facilitate inbound and outbound freight and deliveries within the Event Spaces.
  • Operate specialized equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and Walkie Stackers to transport large-scale items from the loading dock to the event spaces.
  • Maintain the warehouse and storage rooms and back-of-house areas.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and problem-solve effectively.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in Events, Banquet, or Warehouse service fields.
  • An understanding of safe work practices and ability to follow procedures and processes.
  • A current Forklift Licence, and Pallet Jack experience (advantageous but not required).
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol.
