Portfolio Manager Role

As a portfolio manager, you will be responsible for managing an established client base and identifying new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining relationships with rural, agri, SME, and commercial clients
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to achieve growth targets
  • Providing exceptional service to clients while building strong working relationships
  • Negotiating with underwriting partners to secure the best outcomes for clients
  • Managing compliance obligations and stakeholder relationships

To succeed in this position, you should be a high performer who can demonstrate portfolio growth and management skills. You will also:

  • Enjoy working as part of a team but also work independently
  • Appreciate varying daily tasks, with much time spent out with clients or prospective clients
  • Be sales-oriented and able to build a sales pipeline for new business growth
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills, with high attention to detail
  • Have sound general insurance technical ability and be a problem solver
  • Possess a Tier 1 broking qualification
