Airport Security Specialist

Airport Security Specialists play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of airports, aircraft, and travelers.

  • Ensure airport, aircraft, and traveler safety and security
  • Screen passengers and their possessions according to legislation
  • Coordinate passenger flow through security screening efficiently
  • Communicate effectively and make sound decisions
  • Control access to and exit from sensitive areas
  • Undertake physical searches of passengers and baggage when required
  • Provide high-quality customer service consistently
  • Perform general cleaning tasks for terminal amenities and associated buildings
  • Represent the organization professionally at all times

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (AV)
  • Red Aviation Security Identification Card
  • Acceptable National Police Check
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in a complex environment
  • Ability to deal with conflict and achieve resolution
  • Licence to work in Australia and evidence of entitlement
