
Family Support Specialist

This is a vital role for an experienced clinician who can deliver trauma-informed care and interventions in the family home, supporting children, adolescents, and their families to address mental health concerns, child protection issues, and alcohol and other drug challenges.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in providing clinical support, guidance, and education to families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver trauma-informed interventions primarily within the family home to support children, young people, and their families.
- Provide expert care and de-escalation during crises, ensuring families feel heard, supported, and safe.
- Work closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team, receiving guidance from senior clinicians and participating in regular clinical supervision.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training programs to maintain expertise in trauma-informed care.
- Hold a qualification in Occupational Therapy, Clinical Psychology/Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counselling, Nutrition and Dietetics, or other eligible qualifications with relevant membership/registration.
- Have at least 3 years' experience in the clinical area of the specified qualification, or equivalent experience deemed suitable by the service.
- Be eligible to drive in NSW and interstate and willing to travel in the course of employment.
