Job Opportunity: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support a major expansion project across fixed plant operations.

The position will play a key role in developing and implementing maintenance strategies, managing defects, and supporting reliability across critical assets such as crushers, conveyors, mills, thickeners, and pumping systems.

  • 8/6 Roster with 12-hour days
  • 6-month ongoing contract
  • Competitive hourly rate offered

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or relevant trade background
  • Ideal experience of 4-8 years in mineral processing mining operations
  • Experience with fixed plant equipment: conveyors, ball mills, CIL tanks, large pumps
  • Knowledge of mechanical safety standards and statutory compliance

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, ball mills, CIL tanks, and large pumps
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime
  • Scope, plan, and support shutdowns and major maintenance activities
