Reliability Asset Manager

The Public Transport Authority is a leader in delivering exceptional public transport services and solutions. Our vision is to be recognised as a provider of world-class public transport services.

We are seeking an experienced professional to drive asset performance improvement by implementing reliability engineering principles, provide technical support to maintenance crews on equipment breakdowns and champion root cause analysis (RCA), failure modes effects criticality analysis (FMECA) and system analysis.

About the Role

This senior role requires a deep understanding of asset management frameworks and will develop the asset management plan, defining life cycle requirements for safe, reliable and consistent rail operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing reliability engineering principles
  • Providing technical support to maintenance crews on equipment breakdowns
  • Championing root cause analysis (RCA), FMECA and system analysis

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Communication Engineering with recognition or membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning and implementation of Voice, Data, Radio and LTE Mobile Communications Systems including CCTV Systems and good knowledge of Communications Systems and Standards within a rail environment
  • Good conceptual and analytical skills
About You

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of asset management frameworks, substantial experience in applying safety management systems and knowledge of current Safety Legislation.
