">- As a Principal House Officer, you will provide clinical care to patients and clinically manage the multidisciplinary patient care team to ensure the provision of appropriate patient care.
The role involves providing medical services to all patients presenting to the hospital, both inpatient and outpatient services within the designated Neurology/Stroke Unit. You will work closely with the consultant to establish management plans for patients and ensure discharge planning commences early in the process of care.
">- You will be responsible for communicating assessment findings, proposed management plans and alternatives to patients and carers and seeking consent.
- Providing professional assistance within a specialist medical area, you will also provide training, education and supervision to junior medical staff and other healthcare members.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient safety and quality in the delivery of healthcare by actively participating in safety and quality practices. Additionally, you will be involved in your own professional development and in the education of medical students.
