Capital Governance Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Governance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for embedding capital governance across the Group, integrating strategic oversight, project management excellence, and asset risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the coordination of the annual capital budgeting process, working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to develop and submit the budget for approval.
  • Maintain the five-year capital plan and ensure projects align with corporate objectives.
  • Oversee capital approval workflows and ensure compliance with governance protocols and efficiency in the approvals process.
  • Provide commercial and financial insights throughout the capital budgeting and project lifecycle.
  • Develop and enforce asset risk management standards and practices in collaboration with plant managers and subject matter experts.
  • Provide project management and reporting support to delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to maintain and enhance project management tools and methodologies, including training.
  • Monitor capital spend against budget, identify variances, and manage associated risks.
  • Report on project and portfolio performance using KPIs and dashboards.
  • Facilitate post-project reviews, major project risk reviews, and lessons learned sessions.
  • Prepare and present monthly Capital Committee reports and dashboards, to support strategic alignment and prioritization of capital projects.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Audit, and Tax teams on asset-related audits and recommend capital mitigations for asset risks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Finance, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Professional certifications in Project Management are required.
  • Proven experience in capital governance, project management, and financial analysis within a manufacturing or building products environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and asset maintenance philosophies.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency across the Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
