About the Role
The successful Senior Plastics Business Development Manager will focus on cultivating new and established business relationships within our Plastics Sales division. This strategic position reports directly to the Branch Sales Manager and is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy.
This includes generating revenue and profit through the development of new business via existing customers and expanding into new markets. Key performance indicators will be closely monitored and reviewed regularly to ensure alignment with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster strong relationships with senior management, other business units, suppliers, manufacturers, logistics services, and customers to drive business growth and expansion.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to increase market share and customer satisfaction.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of sales interactions, customer feedback, and market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the plastics industry.
- A proven track record of success in new business development, particularly in the plastics and packaging sectors.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience managing supplier relations is highly desirable.
Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive salary package inclusive of leave loading, bonus incentives, and a company vehicle. In addition, you can enjoy a flexible work arrangement with one day per week working from home. Other benefits include lunch provided daily onsite, one paid volunteer day per year, secure onsite parking, and annual salary reviews.
