Project Director

Lime Recruitment is currently recruiting a highly skilled Project Director to lead a 12-month contract based in Darwin, Northern Territory.

This role involves ensuring the successful management, oversight, and delivery of a high-value, complex business transformation project focusing on solution requirements, procurement, configuration, delivery, and implementation.

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing a project team across multiple streams, collaborating closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver solutions that meet agreed business outcomes.

Prioritize human-centered principles to ensure solutions meet the needs and expectations of diverse stakeholders.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive change and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and implementing multi-year, multi-million-dollar IT transformational projects in complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience in procuring digital solutions to meet organisational requirements.
  • Significant experience in project management with emphasis on strong project governance, planning, and control, risk and issue management.
  • Able to champion human-centered design principles throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring solutions are user-friendly, intuitive, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
  • Strong leadership and change management skills with experience in end-to-end delivery of significant business system and complex business change and transformation projects.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for team management and strong stakeholder engagement with ability to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in building, managing, and leading high-performance teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused outcomes.
  • High level written and verbal communication.
  • High resilience and self-discipline.
  • Knowledge and utilisation of Prince2 project management methodology is preferred.
  • Formal qualifications in Project Management, IT or similar.
  • Prior experience working in and/or knowledge of the Education sector.
