Job Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a seasoned security professional to lead our national security operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee a comprehensive security capability and drive business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in security assurance, site security assessments, and stakeholder management. A strong understanding of regulatory compliance and budget management is essential.

This leadership position demands a strategic thinker who can promote a positive security culture across the organization. The selected individual will be responsible for maintaining Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) and Maritime Security Plan obligations as per International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) Code and Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003 (MTOFSA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide security assurance to meet regulatory compliance obligations
  • Conduct thorough site security and vulnerability assessments
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal business outcomes
  • Manage budgets for physical security operations, including labor and systems maintenance

The successful candidate will also be responsible for promoting security awareness across various work groups and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant security experience
  • Deep understanding of maritime security issues in the region
  • Strong knowledge of International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) Code, maritime security plans, and related legislation
  • Certificate III Security Guarding, Certificate IV Security Risk Management, or equivalent
  • Applicable State Driver's License, previous experience/knowledge in issuing MSIC, ASIC identity cards, and conducting verification of documents
  • Hold or ability to hold Minimum Baseline Security Clearance
  • Optional: Certificate IV Trainer and Assessor, Certificate Port Facility Security Officer
