Job Description

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the preventative maintenance program and service breakdowns are completed efficiently. Your primary goal is to ensure all services and equipment are in working condition at the start of each day.

Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to equipment and services breakdowns.
  2. Ensure all services and equipment are in working condition at the start of each day.
  3. Accurately record maintenance and breakdown times.
  4. Ensure equipment and services availability for production.
  5. Provide maintenance support to the entire site.
  6. Daily and weekly maintenance schedule updates to our Operations Manager and GM.
  7. Comply with company and legislative requirements with respect to OHS.
  8. Assist management to comply with OH&S duty of care.
  9. Supervise work activities to ensure safe working practices are adopted.
  10. Assist in HIRAC hazard identification, risk and control.
  11. Authority and responsibility for aspects of the Food Safety and Environmental systems as documented in the relevant section of the Quality Assurance Program.
  12. Share information and ideas, and actively encourage participation from others.
  13. Carry out preventative maintenance on all plant, equipment and services.
  14. Complete work orders using the MEX CMMS system.
  15. Liaise with accredited third party contractors who provide approved specified and specialist works and services, monitor competence and completion of works and be responsible for their attendance whilst onsite.
  16. Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on schedule and work requests completed within required time.
  17. Support the onsite Maintenance team, and regular check-ins with our National Facilities Manager (MEL based).
Required Skills and Qualifications

You will need the following skills and qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
  • Demonstrated success in a similar role.
  • Experience using maintenance management CMMS software (ideally MEX).
  • Welding or fabrication experience (desired but not essential).
  • Experience with PLC`s and programming.
  • Proven track record in achieving KPIs.
  • Detailed understanding of food production processes and equipment.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills is desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work within strict time scales is desirable.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with operational staff.
