
Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to lead our workshop team.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will report to the Maintenance and Quality Control Manager and be responsible for maintenance scheduling, regulatory compliance, inventory management, and data analysis.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the workshop team in collaboration with supervisors to optimize staff utilization and vehicle availability.
- Manage scheduled and unscheduled maintenance processes, on-time servicing performance, and defect reduction.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, internal audits, external accreditation, and environmental practices.
- Maintain the depot fleet by ensuring peak vehicle requirements for contracted services, reducing breakdowns, and improving internal/external presentation of vehicles.
- Experience in leading a heavy vehicle workshop.
- Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Trade.
- Experience in fleet management and preventative maintenance programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
- Intermediate computer skills – ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- A valid MR/HR license.
- Strong diagnosis skills.
- Experience on Volvo and Scania Chassis (preferred).
