Electrician Required for Preventative Maintenance

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team and perform preventative maintenance on automated equipment and systems used in the extrusion and packaging process.

This role involves performing routine checks, carrying out repairs, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and VSDs, as well as strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

To be successful in this role, you must have a current QLD Electrical Trade Certificate/Licence and proven experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance checks on automated material handling systems, wrapping and packaging equipment, and extrusion presses
  • Diagnose and repair faults in PLC and VSD systems, including Allen Bradley and Siemens
  • Work closely with other tradespeople to maintain plant uptime and ensure efficient production processes
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Requirements:

  • Current QLD Electrical Trade Certificate/Licence
  • Proven experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs and VSDs
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
