Job Opportunity:

The role of an Electrician involves performing maintenance and repair tasks on plant and equipment in a fast-paced environment. This position will be based in Yatala, Queensland, and the individual will report to the Reliability Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize activities effectively, responding to breakdowns and undertaking preventative maintenance measures.
  • Install wire and conduit for new and existing equipment, including conveyors, programmable controllers, and machinery.
  • Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, and motors, as well as position sensing devices like proximity switches, timers, scanners, and photoelectric devices.
  • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, including printed circuit boards.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • A current Electrical license with experience in electrical applications and manufacturing processes.
  • Willingness to learn about PLCs and automation systems, demonstrating a motivation to grow and develop in this area.
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume environment while maintaining required safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • A strong work ethic and self-motivation, with a 'get the job done' approach.
