Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join our team at Southern Cross Care. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to our residents while supervising and guiding personal care workers.
Key Responsibilities- Promote independence and help residents regain their confidence and engage in meaningful activities.
- Work collaboratively with other staff and qualified practitioners to provide proactive person-centered service and support.
- Ensure medications are administered in a timely and safe manner.
- Provide assistance, guidance, direction, support, mentoring, and coaching to Personal Carers.
- Maintain current knowledge of contemporary best practice clinical care within the scope of enrolled nursing practice.
- Report any risks that have the potential to cause an accident or injury.
- Keep detailed records and ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts.
We are looking for someone who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients. The successful candidate will have a Diploma of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse, at least 1-2 years of experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in an Aged Care Environment, and sound communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have a high level understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia, including those who display challenging behaviors. They will also have sound knowledge of the Aged Care Standards, particularly as they relate to accreditation.
