Nurse Care Specialist

As a Registered Nurse with Southern Cross Care, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality nursing care to our clients. Your key responsibilities will include leading and supervising support provision for daily living in accordance with each resident’s care/service plan, promoting social and physical engagement, assessing residents’ condition and functional ability, and ensuring optimal use of medications. You will also provide leadership, direction, support, mentoring, and coaching to Personal Carers, Enrolled Nurses, Hotel Service staff, Lifestyle, Maintenance, and Administration staff on each shift. About You
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, at least 1-2 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in an Aged Care Environment, and exceptional time management skills to manage your own workload to meet deadlines and to support other staff. You will also need to possess sound communication skills with a level of English literacy that enables you to speak in a manner that older people can understand, as well as the ability to read written instructions and to write clearly and concisely.
