Nursing Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nursing Care Specialist in Aged Services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional care to our residents, utilizing your expertise to enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality nursing care, aligning with each resident's care/service plan.
- Lead and promote social and physical engagement, fostering a positive environment for all interactions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents' conditions and functional abilities, ensuring risks are identified, managed, and evaluated.
- Administer medications safely and effectively, monitoring for potential adverse reactions.
- Provide guidance, support, and coaching to Personal Carers, Enrolled Nurses, and other staff members on each shift.
- Educate staff on policies, procedures, and work instructions, promoting compliance and excellence.
- Bachelor of Nursing degree, with current registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA).
- Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and Current CPR Certificate (HLTAID009).
- At least 1-2 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in an Aged Care Environment.
- Sound communication skills, with English literacy enabling clear expression and comprehension.
- Exceptional time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and support colleagues.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, balancing resident autonomy with duty of care and risk management.
- High-level understanding of dementia care principles, including managing challenging behaviors.
- Knowledge of AN-ACC funding guidelines to optimize resource allocation.
