About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Carer to join our team at Southern Cross Care Queensland. As a Personal Carer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents in a residential aged care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Support residents with their daily routines and provide emotional support and companionship
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure the delivery of exceptional clinical and personal care to residents

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent
  • Medication Assist Competency (desirable)
  • Understanding of Aged Care and Residents' rights and responsibilities
  • Dedication to caring for older people to live their best lives
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and have a friendly approachable manner
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills
