About the Role:
The Chaplain Manager will oversee chaplaincy efforts and lead a team to deliver effective, person-focused, spiritual, and pastoral support to customers, carers, staff, and volunteers, regardless of cultural background or faith.
About the Team:
The Chaplaincy Team works in partnership with other members of BaptistCare to provide compassionate support and spiritual care to nurture the whole person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead chaplaincy efforts and guide a team to deliver effective, person-focused, spiritual, and pastoral support to customers, carers, staff, and volunteers, regardless of cultural background or faith
- Be part of an organization that truly makes a difference in people's lives
- Model chaplaincy and lead a team of chaplains that provides effective, person-centred, spiritual and pastoral care to customers and their carers, staff and volunteers, irrespective of cultural background, or faith tradition
Requirements:
- Tertiary Theological qualifications (inclusive of Pastoral Care subjects) OR Pastoral Care qualifications (inclusive of Theological subjects)
- At least five years post graduate experience in pastoral ministry and / or chaplaincy
- Demonstrated commitment to self-nurture, self-care, professional boundaries and professional development
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of Christian spiritual maturity with a pastoral heart
- Experience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary settings
- Active involvement in and recommendation from a local Christian church
- Current 'Working with Children Check'
- Current driver's licence
