This is an opportunity to lead a team responsible for delivering Person-First Leisure and Lifestyle Programs in our homes.

">

As the Coordinator, you will oversee the delivery of programs designed to promote emotional and physical rehabilitation through person-first recreational activities that promote holistic wellbeing.

">

Manage a team of recreational activity officers who provide residents with quality care and actively support them to maintain skill levels, independence, and mobility.

">

Work collaboratively with other team members to plan and organize all recreational activity programs.

">

Ensure individual resident needs, values, spiritual preferences, and cultural backgrounds are considered when providing recreational care.

">

Complete documented assessments to determine capabilities, needs, and problems.

">

Comply with infection control and work health and safety standards.

What we're looking for

You'll need:

  • Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or degree-level qualifications">
  • Previous experience in a similar role">
  • Senior First Aid Certificate">
  • Experience caring for the elderly within aged or community care settings">
  • Highly developed organisation and time management skills">
  • The ability to solve problems independently">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills">
  • Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes">
