As a Product Designer in Lighting, you will join an established Engineering team to design and develop new technical luminaires for the Australian market.

The company boasts a fantastic company culture with very little staff turnover, offering great work-life balance opportunities.

Your role will involve providing technical feedback and impact assessments to internal teams and other departments involved in setting up technical standards and/or documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop new LED solutions for the Australian market

- Customize existing products or fully custom-develop new designs for specific lighting projects

- Design, detail, develop, build prototypes, coordinate testing of LED Light fittings/Luminaires with the Lab

- Provide technical support for local production, including wiring of local manufactured products

- Prepare 3D CAD models of parts, assembly drawings, and detail part drawings, Assembly drawings exploded views with BOM and Wiring Diagrams

- Communicate with Eng. Manager, senior designers, Lab/Testing, sales, marketing, Category, Metal shop, and Warehouse/Suppliers

You will be required to have the following experience:

- Bachelor of Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering

- Experience within Product Design & Development within the Lighting Industry is a must

- High level of knowledge in compliance of lighting luminaires into Australia

- High presentation & attention to detail
