Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist

We are currently recruiting for an Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist to work in Ballina, Lismore and Clarence Valley.

The role requires working with vulnerable children and families to ensure their safety and well-being.

  • You will work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people.
  • You will collaborate with other agencies and engage in complex problem solving.
  • Formulating goals that align with client needs, addressing safety and well-being concerns, and providing appropriate assistance through home visits is a crucial aspect of this role.
  • Developing safety plans and completing risk assessments is also essential.
  • Managing cases and situations including working with high needs and high-risk clients and their families is a key responsibility.
  • Participating in court processes, including preparing court documents and attending court proceedings.
  • Individual and group supervision are integral components of this role.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant diploma or degree qualification, as well as possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A valid driver's licence, paid working with children clearance number and documented verification of Aboriginality are mandatory requirements.

This temporary position offers a competitive salary range from $87,315 to $113,562 per annum.
