Job Overview

The Project Da Services Manager oversees a team processing contractual asset data for Defence and internal clients.

  • Developing plans to ensure defence data maintenance and integrity in accordance with defence standards.
  • Leading defence contract operations personnel reviewing, validating, and uploading asset data as per defence standards.
  • Fostering improvements in internal systems (GEMS & ServiceNow) to enhance user access and information.
  • Managing and monitoring data security risks within Service Stream and Defence, analysing data integrity and developing continuity plans compliant with ISO 27001.
  • Managing requests for asset data changes from internal and external sources on behalf of Defence, including creation and updates.
  • Training staff and stakeholders in the use of Defence systems to access relevant estate information, including ERIM, GDL, GEMS and NSIMS.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in data management and processing, ideally within the Defence sector.
  • Experience in managing data security risks and compliance with ISO 27001 standards.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of data maintenance plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in fostering continual improvement processes and a proven track record of leading teams in validating, uploading and reviewing asset data.
  • Familiarity with Defence standards and data systems, including ERIM, GDL, GEMS, and NSIMS.
  • Tertiary qualification in Data Management, Information Technology or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Certifications in Defence data systems (e.g. GEMS) would be advantageous.
  • You must be an Australian Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
