Expert Mainframe Operations Specialist

This key position requires an experienced professional with a deep understanding of mainframe support, software migration, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide operational and technical support for mainframe systems in z15 z/OS environments.
- Manage software updates, including patching and upgrading software using SMP/E.
- Perform system monitoring, alerting, and tuning for optimal performance.
- Support application teams and management with expertise in mainframe operations.
- Operate and monitor master console activities.
- Conduct thorough analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of incident/problem tickets.
- Maintain and enhance middleware, scheduler, and batch processing systems.
- Ensure security compliance through RACF and Natural Security administration.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with technical teams and stakeholders.
- Operating System: z/OS
- Database/Language: Adabas, Natural
- Transaction Processor: TSO, NIM
- Monitoring & Operational Support: XYMON, MXG, VPS/NIMSPL
- Middleware: MQ, Datastream, RPC, CORBA
- Scheduler/Batch Processor: CA-11, Jobtrac
- Job Language: JCL
- Security: RACF, Natural Security
- Source Code Management: N20
- Storage/Backup: Hitachi VPS5100, CA-1 (Tape Management)
- Australian citizenship (Baseline Security Clearance recommended).
- Minimum 10 years' experience in supporting mainframe environments, software migration, and automation scripting.
