Job Opportunity

Parking Enforcement Officers are required to join our Community Standards team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will assist with monitoring, patrolling, and enforcing parking across both on-street locations and Council-managed car parks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing accurate information to the public about parking laws.
  • Issuing penalty notices as required.
  • Preparing and presenting evidence in Court when necessary.
  • Supporting community safety through proactive patrols of Council's facilities and assets.

This role involves working outdoors, engaging with the public, and being part of a team committed to maintaining safety and accessibility across our city. Opportunities for overtime are also available, providing flexibility and additional earning potential.

Requirements:
  • A current Class C Driver's Licence.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflict in a professional manner.
  • An understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles.
  • Knowledge of regulatory functions within Local Government or a related field.
  • Experience preparing evidence and reports for legal matters is highly regarded.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on accuracy and customer service.
